| Summary of Position | Under the direction of the Associate Vice President of Development (AVPD) and the Dean of the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS); plan, direct, organize and coordinate the philanthropic activities for the College and Northeast Passage (NEP) fund raising efforts, including the identification, solicitation and stewardship of prospects and donors, traveling to meet with donors, directing planned giving and all major gifts, and supervising capital fund efforts. In consultation with the Vice President for Advancement and President of the UNH Foundation, AVPD and CHHS Dean to develop and implement College-wide advancement strategic plan to maximize philanthropy for the College. Identify college priorities and the cultivation and solicitation of prospects to ensure that mutually agreed upon individual visit and revenue goals and team metrics and goals are achieved. The Director of Development (DOD) will work collaboratively with the CHHS Dean to plan external travel with the goal of building the donor base, obtaining referrals for other alumni and friends to engage, and to cultivate and solicit gifts. |

Duties / Responsibilities
Job Duties
| Duty/Responsibility | Develop and implement College-wide advancement plan to maximize philanthropy for the College including Northeast Passage. Work with University Advancement to identify donor prospects, solicit gifts, and develop methods for cultivating, monitoring and acknowledging donors and prospects. Travel as needed to organize, cultivate, and solicit philanthropic gifts and support from alumni, parents, friends, and organizations interested in the CHHS departments/college. Meet and/or exceed mutually agreed upon visit and fundraising metrics and goals. |

| Duty/Responsibility | Design, implement, and direct the department/college’s development programs. Coordinate with CHHS dean and college leadership in all development activities and establish fund raising activities that involve members of the department/college including centers and institutes. Serve as liaison between college and university advancement. Partner with the planned and annual giving teams to develop opportunities to enhance revenue streams for the college Prepare reports, proposals, brochures, and other materials for various development programs. Partner with college external relations team members to promote and position the college for success. |
