Summary of Position

Granite State College welcomes applicants for a full time, non-tenure track faculty position in the content area of communications. The focus of this role will be to serve as the lead in developing and maintaining high quality education to our students in the College’s communications programs and general course offerings in: English, Communications, and Digital Media.

This full-time faculty member will work with the Academic Affairs department on administrative issues and will teach courses throughout the academic year. This faculty role will serve in a leadership capacity in areas supporting Faculty, Curriculum, Academic Success, Outreach and other areas as needed. Actual course load will vary with other responsibilities.

This is a non-tenure track, renewable position. This position requires a flexible work schedule that includes required evening hours and the possibility of weekend hours. Must be able to travel to the other GSC centers in New Hampshire.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must have a master’s degree in a communications related field. Experience in teaching in various formats such as online, blended and hybrid is also required.

This position requires a commitment to teaching excellence and a high-level of student service. A strong record of teaching experience appropriate at the undergraduate level is expected and required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in teaching and managing within writing across the curriculum.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

A terminal degree is preferred. Substantial real-world professional experience within the field is highly desirable.

Salary Information
