Summary of Position

Information management (databases, information warehouses): manage and coordinate the implementation and operation of a department/unit management information system, which may include implementation and operational oversight of automated processing schedules, development of calendars to coordinate critical events processing with various application systems, and operational maintenance of application software libraries.
Project management: supervise broadly defined projects and/or programs, such as developing project plans and specifications, developing and maintaining project management information, and developing and maintaining documentation.

The position provides key support and administration for Banner and APEX. The analyst will work significantly with SQL developer tools and coding, data integration tools, and the process flows. This position manages and controls systems integrations, including the data feeds between Banner and Moodle.

In addition to supporting functional users and business units, this individual supports and product and process enhancements of the individual enterprise systems as well as work to maintain best practices and successful data integration between the systems. The individual in this position reviews business process and leads business requirements workshops, and develops solutions meeting the business need. This position will work collaboratively across teams and departments to prioritize and implement improvements in both business practice and enterprise systems function.

Other minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in information technology field, Associate’s and six years, or combination of education and experience equal to eight years.

Must be familiar and proficient with SQL environments using PL/SQL, Transact-SQL, or MySQL.

• Experience working in an ERP and Student Information System. Banner and SIS experience is particularly valuable for this position.

• Experience with relational or object-oriented database systems

• Experience with reporting or analytics software

• Internal or external customer service experience

• Experience with documenting processes

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in higher education

• Working knowledge of Banner Student and related modules

• Working knowledge of Salesforce administration

• Working knowledge of Oracle database, SQL, SOQL

• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript

Develops solutions and leads the implementation of increased functionality in enterprise systems: Banner, APEX, SQL developer, and other SQL environments.

Consult and collaborate with users to collect, document, and analyze complex business needs and make recommendations for solutions using applications such as Banner, SQL, and integrated environments. Conducts requirements workshops, business process descriptions, and workflow analysis to determine technology requirements. Advocates best practices and data integrity while improving workflow efficiency.

Duty/Responsibility

Software programming and development using SQL and tools to enhance reporting and process flow related to Banner and related databases.

Implement new methods and functions in the organization’s enterprise systems to streamline and improve workflows. Designs, tests, and implements systems based on understanding business needs. Works with coaches, faculty, and staff on streamlining and enhancing use of technologies to produce a student-centric environment.

Duty/Responsibility

Software installation and/or maintenance, to include coordinating test plans and testing activities both within IT and from end users. Validate changes and assure that proper change management is adhered to, including business purpose, test plans, rollback plans, and communications plans. Creates and maintains reporting system reports to provide data from information systems to produce ad-hoc and ongoing reports. Uses understanding of functional departments and business processes to resolve problems and collaborate on improving systems technology.

Analyzes and revises existing system and business logic to enhance system efficiency.

Duty/Responsibility

Information management, including the operation of complex databases for operational and predictive reporting. Manage and coordinate the implementation and operation, implementation and operational oversight of automated processing schedules, development of calendars to coordinate critical events processing with various application systems.

This positiion will be responsible for project management using TeamDynamix, including gathering resources, assessing systems and vendors, tracking resources, plans, proposals, planning milestones, and creating and adhering to communication plans.

Works with functional groups to facilitate successful business processes and their related applications for integration among the various systems.

Duty/Responsibility

Participates in SAS Steering Committee. Serves as liaison between GSC and support services regarding customization and configuration, testing, training, implementation and issues regarding enterprise systems and related products in which there is external hosting, service, or support.

This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation. This will include documentation of systems created, report criteria, users, permission, user manuals and instructions.

Optimize the use of systems, applications and locally developed solutions.
