Job Description

The Digital Media Manager serves an essential communications role utilizing various social media, web-based and electronic tools to achieve key organizational goals (i.e. powering game attendance.) The Digital Media Manager has considerable responsibility for engaging content including the timely delivery of information and developing ‘call to action’ materials and language to drive venue attendance, online ticket sales, upsell/cross-sell opportunities and group outings. This individual is on the front lines of advancing the UNH brand, ensuring that all digital media reflect our brand promise and have a consistent look and feel. The Manager plays a lead role in overseeing critical data sets, leveraging them for lead and sales opportunities and conducting analyses on an on-going basis to ensure the organization is reaching key demographics and target audiences. This position is a hourly, non-benefited appointment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and update all content, including daily updates to reflect the teams’ performances, adding materials to support promotions linked to ticket purchase opportunities and fulfilling sponsorship requirements through online exposure
- Serve as the voice of the organization on social media platforms
- Create, source and supervise in-house graphic design relationship for a range of materials, including infographics, email marketing, theme night fliers, video boards, posters and coupons
- Constant upkeep of to stay current and link key external marketing strategies to the site
- Manage and design all social media content to drive fan engagement and grow the Wildcats’ fan base
- Leverage our social media marketing strategies to increase UNH Athletics visibility, advance our family friendly entertainment brand and drive ticket sales
- Keep up with new or upcoming social media applications or practices
- Assist individual teams and coaches on social media practices with goal of appealing to potential student athletes and current student athletes. Help athletes learn the safe way to use social media
- Utilize our ticketing system to push out additional messages via e-mail to select audiences
- Ensure all venue messaging, including video boards, box office televisions, game scripts, and marquees are consistent and self-promoting
- Leverage major databases and lists to capture information, ensure communications are being distributed to target audiences and to cull future prospects
- Assist with broader organizational marketing plan by contributing analysis/analytics from web, e-mail and social media efforts and by deploying databases to meet annual goals
- Work with CPA on best-use of the campus accounts/website and athletics accounts/website to maximize strategies
- Work intricately with athletic communications, ticketing, and marketing to deliver projects and strategies
- Provide SID responsibilities from time to time

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, communications, marketing or sport management
• 1-2 years demonstrated experience in collegiate or professional athletics in the area of digital marketing, promotions or sales and coordinating special events
• Graphic design skills preferred
• Excellent customer service skills
• Superior organization and communication skills
• Ability to perform well in a team setting
• Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office software, Photoshop and InDesign
• Knowledge of social media networks
• Ability to work nights and weekends
