Summary of Position

This individual will be a key member of the University of New Hampshire’s Information Technology Enterprise Technology Services Enterprise Information Management Team and will provide senior technical and business analyst expertise in support of the University of New Hampshire’s strategic business intelligence initiatives to include data warehouse, data visualization and analytics solutions. This position will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining business intelligence initiatives to support UNH’s objectives and mission.

Bachelor’s degree and six years of experience in information technology field, Master’s and four years, or combination of education and experience equal to ten years.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in: data warehousing and data mart technologies and concepts, supporting relational databases, business and systems analysis for business intelligence efforts, Oracle data warehouse development, Tableau, BusinessObjects/Crystal Reports and other reporting technologies and SQL. Experience with data visualization and analytics. Familiarity with PL/SQL, data modeling tools, knowledge of Banner Finance, HR, Student and Advancement and FAMIS systems. Experience with UNH and USNH information technology systems. Ability to lead technical projects. Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical clients.

Duties / Responsibilities

Job Duties


Provide senior-level analyst and technical expertise during all phases of business intelligence life cycle efforts. Lead and participate in business intelligence development initiatives including data warehouse and data extraction, reporting, data visualization and data governance efforts. Work with analysts, programmers, IT colleagues, business process owners, and end-users to determine scope and requirements for business intelligence and data visualization solutions. Develop and support reports, data visualizations, and analytics solutions for business intelligence initiatives.


Develop technical infrastructure for data mart, business intelligence and data visualization initiatives. Serve as architect of data mart/business intelligence projects. Establish logical and physical design for business intelligence solutions. Perform analysis, database and meta-data modeling.


Lead mid-sized to large technical and business intelligence projects.


Provide operational support for business intelligence and data visualization solutions and respond to changes required by upgrades, regulatory requirements, etc.
