Research Assistant
This position is part of a federally-funded workforce development project to prepare Master’s level Social Workers and Occupational Therapists for careers in behavioral health. The RA will work with the project’s evaluator to collect, analyze, and present both quantitative and qualitative evaluation data.

Job Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
• Understand the project goals and objectives in order to assist with evaluation activities, and effectively represent the project when working with community partners.
• Participate in project meetings and work closely with the project Management Team to assist with the design and development of data collection protocols.
• Conduct face-to-face interviews, focus groups, and administer questionnaires as required by the project.
• Collect, enter, and compile data according to project protocols and guidelines.
• Verify accuracy & validity of data entered and correct any errors found.
• Prepare data summaries including tables, graphs, written reports, and presentations.
• Research topical areas as requested (e.g., literature searches).
• Assist the UNH Interdisciplinary Working Group for Children and Youth with Emotional and Behavioral Challenges to create and monitor a webpage, conduct background research, and other communication activities.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree or graduate student in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, family studies, or related field. Doctoral students preferred.
• Interest and ability to work with behavioral health providers, project team members, students, university partners, and other stakeholders.
• Interest and ability in research and data collection including both quantitative and qualitative methods.
• Strong organization skills, particularly for tracking ongoing data collection across multiple schools.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel; SPSS; Qualtrics; and experience with data collection, focus groups, and qualitative data and management preferred.
• Background in behavioral health or counseling, preferred.
