Summary of Position

Located in Concord, NH and under broad supervision of Center for START Services (CSS) Director of Training responsible for a variety of program activities, using significant independent judgment in managing day-to-day CSS-QA and training activities, data collection, policies and procedures. The position requires maintaining confidentiality, and overall support in the coordination of QA and training efforts for the national network of START programs.

Other minimum qualifications

1. High school graduation and seven years of related experience involving duties of increasing responsibility requiring discretion and independent judgment, or Associate’s Degree and five years of related experience, or a combination of higher education and related experience equal to seven years.
2. Advanced computer skills, including complex word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, database management, use of search engines, keyboarding skills, and other software applications as required by hiring department/unit.
3. Effective written and oral communication skills.
4. Supervisory skills.
5. Experience in public relations, office supervision, grant-funded programs, marketing, telecommunications or publications as specified by department.
6. Organizational skills.
7. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and the general public.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

1. Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision
2. Effective note taking and documentation skills
3. Advanced use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
4. Excellent interpersonal skills which include communication, listening skills, approachability, and attitude
5. Ability to manage several project timelines simultaneously in a growing, dynamic organization with shifting priorities
6. Customer service approach to work with strong skills of patience and problem solving
7. Ability to represent the Center for START Services in a positive and professional manner during phone/written communication and in-person contact with program members, provider agencies, trainers and staff
8. 3 years’ experience as an administrative or executive assistant
9. Experience developing work flows and systems to increase efficiencies
10. Experience in social work, health care, or customer service preferred
11. Interest in and commitment to the Center for START Services and Institute on Disability’s missions

Duties / Responsibilities

Job Duties


Coordinate day-to-day activities for the CSS QA and Training Dept. including managing phone calls, email, and in-person inquires, QA team calendars/schedules, and state/regional QA and/or training related activities.


Schedule and manage state/regional QA and training related project meetings including participant invitations (Outlook and Zoom), preparing agendas and other materials, arranging/coordinating videoconferencing equipment or use.


Coordinate collection of required materials, submission of applications, and tracking of delivered units for all Continuing Education offerings.


Assist with scheduling and track and report on contracted QA staff hours.


Maintain current Contact Management System and assist with migration to new platform as needed.


Record meeting minutes, file in Box and distribute as needed.


Organize and maintain QA and training files and documents in Box and other platforms.


Coordinate complicated travel for QA and Training Dept. team members including air, hotel, and transportation related to state/regional projects.


Under direction of project staff, create and/or enhance project related QA and/or training materials (such as PowerPoint presentations for training or information dissemination).


Under direction of project staff, create on-line surveys using tools such as Qualtrics or other research tools.


Assist in the development and coordination of the annual START National Training Institute.


Research information, assist in preparing reports, and disseminate information as required.


Participate in regularly scheduled on-site and online CSS team meetings.


Hire, train, evaluate, and supervise staff/student workers.


Adhere to legal requirements, and regulations, (i.e. HIPAA), and UNH policies, and maintain confidentiality and discretion in using and conveying information of a sensitive and/or confidential nature.
