Summary of Position

This position will work second shift (Monday-Friday, 3:30pm-12am), cleaning classrooms, offices, and shared spaces of the college campus.

Starting hourly rate is typically not to exceed $13.32. This position is benefits eligible to include a generous benefits package of medical, dental, retirement, paid time off, and tuition.

Other minimum qualifications

High school graduation or G.E.D. equivalent and three years of custodial/housekeeping experience. Strong interpersonal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate with campus customers, parents, and visitors. Thorough knowledge of cleaning materials, processes and equipment. Ability and willingness to respond to emergency situations. Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy work. Ability to wear and use personal protective equipment if required. Valid driver’s license for the state of New Hampshire.

Job Duties

Duty/Responsibility

Responsible for cleaning-duties include vacuuming, emptying trash, mopping, washing windows, cleaning bathrooms, wiping down desks, cleaning offices and straightening classrooms.

Sort and deliver mail/ packages to faculty and staff. Unlock doors for faculty and staff as needed.

Assist with the set-up and removal of equipment for special events.

Duty/Responsibility

Perform heavy cleaning tasks as assigned-such as high cleaning, carpet cleaning, and floor stripping/waxing usually during summer months.
