Summary of Position

The T2 Manager, as named in the Technology Transfer Center Proposal, will be seen by others, both inside and outside the University, as a manager of a technology transfer center that is jointly funded by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT).

Duties / Responsibilities

Job Duties


• Under general direction of the responsible academic official, be responsible for providing leadership for all Technology Transfer (T2) Center activities.
– Organize and coordinate with BSC representative for budgetary compliance
– Independently prepare reports (FHWA PAR and CAR and LTAP Advisory Broad Annual Reports) and proposals
– Attend meetings and act as institutional representative with decision making authority
– Provide counsel and advice to stakeholders through integration with synergistic outreach activities
– Promote integration the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and other appropriate University of New Hampshire units


• Local Technology Assistance Program (LTAP)
– Design and Develop LTAP outreach and engagement efforts
– Organize and coordinate transportation-related partnerships
– Manage technical support activities
– Supervise, train and evaluate the Workshop Coordinator and all T2 employees
– Direct the development of: T2 newsletter; T2 website and social media; T2 article library
– Coordinate with state and municipal agencies to address the needs of the regional transportation community
– Attend the following meetings as a representative of T2: LTAP Advisory Board; NLTAPA national business and annual meetings; NLTAPA regional meetings; Conferences and meetings of regional partners
– Direct the development of the yearly workshop schedule, the NHDES and NHDOT certification programs and LTAP Advisory Board and the NHDOT meeting schedule and agenda


– Provide counsel, advise and coordination of BRIDGE activities, budgetary compliance, required reporting, integration with synergistic research activities and the training programs including materials and manuals
